Women in Development of Greater Boston (WIDGB) is currently seeking nominees and expressions of interest for open positions on the Board of Directors. Both self-nominations and nominations of colleagues are enthusiastically welcomed.
The WIDGB board, which consists up to 27 members, is responsible for serving as visible leaders and spokespersons for WID, ensuring that committee activities align with strategic priorities, overseeing the fiduciary health of the organization, and recruiting new members. Many board members serve as committee chairs, overseeing committees to plan the activities of the organization. Board members typically serve a two-year term, beginning in June. Members-at-large serve a one-year term. The board meets four times a year in person, by video/conference call, email, and phone.
