Myrna Ghorayeb
Myrna is passionate about helping organizations reach their philanthropic goals and create lasting impacts on their communities. She brings more than 10 years of nonprofit development experience to CCS, joining in 2020. Her experience at CCS has included advising campaign planning and management, leading prospect research and strategy, crafting donor facing collateral, and developing assessment and implementation plans.
Prior to joining CCS, Myrna was an Associate Consultant with Marts & Lundy (M&L). There she worked with various clients, while leading several studies across the U.S. including: Challenges and priorities facing independent schools, and generational giving with a focus on what motivates Millennials to give and volunteer. Myrna also became a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in February 2020.
Prior to M&L, Myrna worked as a Manager of Portfolio Services at the University of Houston (UH). She conducted research and developed fundraising strategies with a focus on Corporations & Foundations, Healthcare Initiatives – which included the new Medical School, and the Vice President/Vice Chancellor’s portfolio. Myrna provided proactive and data-driven insights and solutions, which helped raise over $10 million during the silent phase of UH’s Here We Go $1B campaign.
Before diving into the world of philanthropy, Myrna was a Project Manager for General Electric in the Energy segment, first joining in 2010. She managed electrical distribution projects from manufacturing to installation in the Southwest and Texas region. As a project manager, she received her Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
Myrna is a proud Sun Devil, graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Minor in Spanish and International Business, and a Masters in Healthcare Innovation. She is also fluent in Arabic and Spanish.
