What does it mean to be a leader in Greater Boston?

Join Women in Development of Greater Boston (WIDGB) for a riveting, in-person program centered around resilient leadership and fundraising.  WIDGB’s Guest Speaker, Dr. Makeeba McCrearycurrently serves as president of the New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund (NCF). NCF is a coalition founded by Black and Brown executives from Massachusetts’ leading corporations united to support Black and Brown communities amid the COVID-19 pandemic and in the wake of the brutal killing by police of George Floyd.

Learn how, in just one year, the 19 founders led NCF to raise over $30 million toward its initial fundraising goal of $100 million, which will be used to support eligible nonprofit organizations and to build an ecosystem of area leaders and stakeholders committed to dismantling systemic racism in Boston and across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Beyond NCF, Dr. McCreary has served in various leadership positions for organizations such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) and Boston Public Schools (BPS).  She understands the complexity of addressing a diverse group of funders to meet the needs of organizations and the communities they serve.
