Major Gift Best Practices and Current Philanthropy Trends

We are excited to welcome Meg George, co-founder of consultancy George Philanthropy Group, to lead us in a session about major and principal gift best practices and how current trends in philanthropy advance an organization's reliance and need for these skills in major gifts. As campaign and development counsel to nonprofits around the country, including those amidst significant capital campaigns, Meg will offer tangible takeaways and best-in-class recommendations around the four stages of a major gift solicitation, including real-life donor profiles, example asks, and frequently-faced challenges in securing visits and executing on thoughtful solicitations. Her work is rooted in a relationship-centric, impact-oriented approach to soliciting philanthropic investments, planning for long-term sustainability, and funding initiatives through personalized, deliberate activity.
